BEATLES UK – first UK issue, two LPs, A Hard Days Night and Abbey Road.

A Hard Days Night - PCS 3058, original UK very first issue Stereo album, with black and yellow Parlophone record labels.

A UK album in original condition featuring:

1. the record labels are the original first issue with the ‘chunkier’ font letter style.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in good++ condition, the front is laminated. An original very first issue Stereo flipback sleeve. The spine is in very good++ condition, it has remained clean and white in colour and all the text is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve has the period tri flipback design. Theres NO pen writing, splits, stickers or sticker residue. There is some ‘fraying’ and some ‘nicks’ to the front (only) opening edge and a 20mm tear to the front lower opening edge. The are some age related marks to the rear of the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original ‘Use Emitex’ sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, tears, stains, stickers or sticker residue. There is a slight split to one side edge and to the bottom edge. 

THE RECORD: is in very good++ condition. The record has remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix  nos. are:  YEX  126 – 1  and  YEX  127 – 1,

The mother / stampers are:  ‘ 2     R  A ’  and  ‘ 2   G  H ’.

THE AUDIO: is excellent, side one starts with some light crackle but it soon clears to give a full loud, clear period Stereo sound. I did hear on track five, two minutes into the track some light ‘ticks’ that lasted for approximately 30 seconds. Side two also plays excellent and starts with some light crackle but it soon clears to give a full loud, clear period Stereo sound. I did hear on track six some light ‘ticks’ here and there throughout the track. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: are in excellent+ condition. The letters ‘ K T ’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

Abbey Road - 1969 PCS 7088, Apple record labels.

A very early UK issue album in original condition, featuring:

1. on side two of the record label the track ‘Her Majesty’ is not printed nor is it printed on the rear of the sleeve, but the track plays on the record !

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in near MINT condition, the sleeve is laminated front and rear. The sleeves glossy laminate is relatively unscuffed and crease free. The four corners of the sleeve have remained crisp and sharp and the two opening edges of the sleeve have remained crisp and sharp. The original period ‘thin’ spine is excellent++ condition and has remained an excellent fresh, clean and white in colour and all the text on the spine is clear to read. There are NO stains, pen writing, splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent+ condition and is the original heavy grade paper, period plain white EMI sleeve, with the original ‘Patent No 1,125,555’. An excellent and well preserved, crease free sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE RECORD: side one is in excellent condition, side two is in excellent+ condition. The record is made from the period thick, heavy vinyl. It has remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix are:  YEX 749 - 2  and  YEX  750 - 1,

The mother/stampers are:  ‘ 3  L L ’  and  ‘ 4  L A ’,

THE AUDIO: is near excellent, it plays with some light crackle heard here and there’. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: are in near MINT condition. As this is a very early issue, side one shows a DARK green Apple colour. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
