For Sale
NOTE: I've added some additional information about this record today, August 26, 2015. See "Visual Grade," below.
Label information: London: CS 6141 stereo, FFSS Wide Label, Blue Back, made in UK
Composer(s) and featured works: AMozart:
Concerto No.27 in B-flat Major, K.595
Piano Sonata in A Major, K.331, "Alla Turca"
Performers: AWilhelm Backhaus, pianist; Karl Böhm conducting the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra
Visual grade: AVG+/VG+ A suspicious mark on s.2 about 1/3 into the side. NOTE: This record is a former library copy. I've removed some of the evidence of its provenance, but not to deceive any potential buyers. For a former library copy, this record is in fine shape. The record label still has the name of the library on it, which was stamped directly onto the label in addition to a sticker with the library's name on it. I have removed the sticker but not the stamp (see pictures).
Play grade: AMostly NM/Mostly NM S.1 starts out a little ticky, but improves quickly; s.2 plays NM, and the suspicious mark does NOT sound.
Jacket grade: AGood. Some top paper on the front has peeled off. I've disguised it fairly well with color marker.

New Policy Changes, Effective July 15, 2015
Only my pricing policy has changed, primarily because of the labor intensive nature of selling records the Craig Chase Vinyl way. My way makes me unique among the other fine record sellers on eBay today. This policy change is the first significant one I’ve made since I first began selling records on eBay over 13 years ago. Some reasons for the change are:
I clean every record I sell. I use proprietary methods which are safe and effective and leave your records as clean as possible. I even clean and repair outer sleeves (and sometimes inner sleeves as well!) should they have some reparable damage (e.g., an open seam, surface grime, and the like). I inspect and play-grade every record I sell, except for still-sealed records. (See my grading scale, below). I craft my own heavy-duty mailers, not only to save you money, but to protect your investment as it wings its way to you. I ship your purchases usually within 24 hours of receiving your payment. I offer a no-quibble money-back guarantee should you feel I have exaggerated your record’s condition. Just send it back to me in the shape in which you found it, and I’ll refund your purchase price, including your initial shipping cost. If you prefer to keep the record, I will issue you a partial refund (or credit for a future purchase).
NOTE: If you feel the above reasons do not warrant paying a little more for the same item elsewhere, then perhaps Craig Chase Vinyl is not for you. If, however, you are willing to pay a bit more, then welcome aboard (or welcome back). Make me a “favorite seller” and come back again and again. I’ll be happy to serve you.
Shipping
Shipping is basically at my cost, which then becomes your cost. I charge by your package’s weight. The first single record (plus container) weighs 1 pound, 2 ounces. Each additional record weighs 10 ounces. Obviously, box-sets will weigh a little bit more. Default domestic shipping is by Media Mail without insurance. If you desire first-class shipping and/or insurance, please let me know prior to paying, and I’ll adjust your invoice accordingly. Normal International shipping is by First-Class Mail International, including delivery confirmation, which adds only a few dollars to the shipping price and allows both you and me to know whether a package is still in transit or has been delivered.Record Play-Grades
SS = Still sealed; unopened and un-played; condition unknown.
NM+ = Near Mint Plus. Extraordinarily clean, quiet, and virtually unmarked, except perhaps for a very light spindle track on the label; may not have been played.
NM = Near Mint. Clean and quiet, regardless of scuffs, hairline scratches or apparent , defects.
NM- = Near Mint Minus. Less quiet than NM, with a bit more background noise, regardless of its source.
VG++ =Very good plus plus. Noisier than NM-; may say why.
VG+ = Very good plus. Noisier than VG++; will say why.
Sleeve Grades
Exc = Excellent. Virtually perfect; may be shrink-wrapped or not; looks almost new.
Exc- = Excellent minus. No major defects; clean, sound, and mark-free; perhaps a slightly bent corner or two.
VG + = Very Good Plus. May have a couple small defects, such as a little writing or a little staining or yellowing, but it's quite presentable.
VG = Very Good. Defects are more noticeable; may have needed seam repair.
G = Good. Sleeve has some obvious challenges but is still somewhat presentable.
F = Fair. Need I say more?
