Side 1; LONNIE DONEGAN/ ROCK ISLAND LINE, RAY BUSH/ THIS LITTLE LIGHT OF MINE, KEN COLYER/ MIDNIGHT HOUR BLUES, BOB CORT/ FREIGHT TRAIN, CITY RAMBLERS/ GOOD MORNING BLUES, ALEXIS KORNER/ SAIL ON, DONEGAN/ DIGGIN MY POTATOES.. Side 2; BUSH/ GREEN CORN, COLYER/ TAKE THIS HAMMER, DONEGAN/ JOHN HENRY, KORNER/ I AIN'T GONNA WORRY NO MORE, BUSH/ HOW LONG BLUES, RAMBLERS/ DOWN BY THE RIVERSIDE, CORT/ DON'T YOU ROCK ME DADDY-O. The record is in excellent condition with excellent labels .The record has little wear with few slight surface scuffs and few slight surface scratches and plays with no jumps and clicks and a minimum of surface noise.The original picture sleeve (laminated front)is also excellent,with no marks or creasing, or edge fraying.. CLASSIC EARLY UK SKIFFLE  COMPILATION LP from the best CLASSIC SKIFFLE tracks released on the DECCA LABEL including LONNIE DONEGAN'S ROCK ISLAND LINE which started the SKIFFLE craze.hits. LONNIE DONEGAN had a huge world wide hit with ROCK ISLAND LINE and started the SKIFFLE craze in the UK which introduced FOLK and BLUES to UK teenagers, DONEGAN was a huge influence kick starting the UK ROCK, BLUES and FOLK industry,. and responsible for thousands of British teenagers buying a guitar learning a few chords and forming groups. The BEATLES STONES, DIRE STRAITS, QUEEN, VAN MORRISON, BILLY FURY, CLIFF RICHARD , all started by taking their first fumbling steps in SKIFFLE groups, before turning to rock and roll, or the blues, or folk. SKIFFLE only lasted about a year though LONNIE DONEGAN had a long series of hits right into the 60's and was selling out venues right up to his death a couple of years back, This was his first EP including his first two singles which started it all off and one of his biggest hits  and an ICONIC SKIFFLE HIT. A little piece of recording history... RARE in decent condition, from my own collection.
