UK mono LP.

PMC 7027 – original 1967 mono, black and yellow Parlophone labels.

A very first UK issue in original condition, featuring:

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent condition. The sleeve is fully laminated, this laminate is very glossy and is relatively unscuffed and free of an indentations. The four corners of the sleeve have remained clean and sharp for their age. The four opening edges of the sleeve have also remained clean and sharp for their age. The spine is in near excellent condition and has remained very clean and white in colour and all the text is clear to read on the spine. When the gatefold sleeve is opened the original exposed top two flipbacks can be seenThe inside of the sleeve is clean and very glossy. There are NO stains, tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue to the sleeve.

THE CARD INSERT: is present but in poor condition. The original DARK green cardboard cut-out insert has had two of the ‘cut outs’, cut for the insert, which I do not have. Otherwise the insert would have been in MINT condition. Theres NO pen writing, stains, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the insert.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is the original wavy pattern red and white sleeve. The two opening edges are very clean and unworn. There are NO tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is a split to the two side edges and a split to the bottom edge. On one side of the sleeve there are two areas of, what appears to be ‘water’ marks.

THE RECORD: is in excellent+ condition, it is made from the original period, 1960s ‘thick’, heavy vinyl. It has remained very dark and very glossy and ‘looks’ to have received very little play.

The matrix are:   XEX 637 - 1  and  XEX 638 - 1,

The mother / stampers are:   ‘ 1  R R D’ and  ‘ 4  G H T ’.

THE AUDIO: side one plays near MINT, it plays with excellent quiet grooves. Side two plays excellent++, I did hear some ‘ticks’ on the first, thirty seconds approximately to the first track. The rest of side two plays with just some light ‘dusty’ static. The record appears to have some slight signs of ‘dishing’ as it does not lay completely flat on the turntable, but this does not affect the audio.

THE LABELS: side one is in excellent++ condition, side two is in excellent+ condition. The letters ‘K T’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side two. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
