BEATLES UK – With the Beatles & Revolver, original 1960s LPs.

With the Beatles LP, original mono.

1963 PMC 1206 – original 1960s mono, black and yellow Parlophone labels.

A UK album in original condition , featuring:

1. the sleeve is made by the printing company of ‘E J Day’, these are more unusual as most of these sleeves were made by the printing company of ‘Garrod and Lofthouse’,

2. the record labels do not have the usual letters, or tax code, embossed around the spindle holes, the letters, ‘KT’ are usually present,

3. the rear of the sleeve has the spelling of ‘Gotta’, but on the record label, this spelling is ‘Got a’, for the track, ‘You really got a hold on me’.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. This laminate is excellent with NO thumb nail creases to the front. The two opening edges of the sleeve have remained clean and sharp and for its age the four corners of the sleeve have remained clean and sharp. The spine is in excellent  condition and has remained clean, white and straight and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve has the original period ‘tri’ flipback design. Theres NO pen writing, tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. To the rear of the sleeve, top left, a small piece of the flipback is missing and there is some age related marks to the rear of the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is the original ‘Use Emitex’ sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue to the sleeve.

THE RECORD: side one is in excellent condition, side two is in excellent+ condition. The record is made from the original 1960s thick, heavy vinyl. It has remained very dark and glossy. A well looked after copy that ‘looks’, almost like new.

The matrix are:  XEX  447 – 7 N  and  XEX  448 – 7 N,

The mother / stampers are:  ‘3  M M’ and ‘ 2 6 G D L ’.

THE AUDIO: is excellent++, it plays with excellent quiet grooves, a near perfect audio. It plays with an impressive full, loud clear period mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: side one is in excellent++, and appears to show little play, there is a discrete name written in black pen within the black area of the label, but this doesn’t show much. Side two is in excellent+ condition. There is a name written in black pen across the yellow ‘Parlophone’ text and a set of initials written within the yellow circle ‘£’ sign. The labels are free from any stickers or sticker residue.

Revolver LP, original mono.

1966 PMC 7009 – original 1960s black and yellow Parlophone labels.

An early UK mono copy of this album in original condition, featuring:

1. the record on side one has an early set of mother / stampers, they are ‘1 GLG’,

2. the record label has the spelling of ‘Doctor’, but the sleeve has the spelling of ‘Dr’, for the track, ‘Doctor’ Robert !.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in good++ condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is in good condition and most of the text is clear to read. The rear features the original tri-flipback design. There are NO tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is some splitting to the bottom middle edge and an old long faded name written in blue pen on the rear, top left, flipback. 

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is the original EMI period black and white advertising sleeve’. A very clean and well preserved sleeve for its age. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stains, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE RECORD: side one is in good+ condition, side two is in good++ condition. It is made of the period, 1960s thick, heavy vinyl.

The matrix are:  XEX 605 - 2  and  XEX 606 – 3,

The mother / stampers are: very early, ‘1  G LG’  and  ‘4 GTG’,

THE AUDIO: is good, it plays with some crackle and some ‘ticks’ and ‘pops’ heard here and there. The record plays with a good, loud, full period mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: side one is in good++ condition, side two is in very good condition. The letters ‘K T’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
