CONDITIONS
VINYL
This is the original thicker, heavier chunky slab of vinyl, only found like this on the earliest 1st original pressings, from the earliest period of 1960s. (Later press are much more flimsier and less robust). It has remained very dark and glossy and ‘looks’ as if it has received little play. The vinyl itself is
in excellent visual condition, glossy surface, without any deeper scratches in result, that it has been most
probably stored and played very carefully . Also there is a couple minor traces of insertion and removal of records
from the bag, they usually has and best preserved records of
the inner sleeve use. The record lays flat on the turntable. EXCELLENT condition!
PLEASE NOTE, This vinyl was pressed on the EMI on old machines press. IT’S NOT CBS PRESSING, as many people think! THIS IS EMI PRESSING! To
date only three Beatles albums have been found in this variation and they’re A
Hard Day’s Night, Rubber Soul and Revolver.
AUDUO: Precise EXCELLENT! On both sides of the vinyl it plays fantastic from start to finish, crystal, clear deep MONO sound with NO any
deterioration. NO skips/jumps, NO repeats! There is occasionally between some songs very light clicks, probably 'static' reason. Sound quality is better than EXCELLENT!
SLEEVE COVER
The RARE front laminated 'Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd. London' sleeve, with middle 'mono' on front, is fully intact and clear, with only few minor light laminate stress lines on the front high gloss picture. A hard to find very early issue sleeve with thin ‘paper’ flipbacks with ‘square ends’, made by 'Ernest J. Day & Co.'. Regular 'Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd.' sleeves and later 'Ernest J. Day & Co.' sleeves had conventional thicker ‘card’ flipbacks with ‘rounded’ ends.Showing
light signs of wear in some places of the edge and input, without any signs. Rear of the Sleeve is strong, without any signs and has 'Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd. London'. The spine is in excellent+ condition and has remained an excellent clean, fresh white and all the text on the spine is clear to read. EXCELLENT(-) condition. ( see pics.)
The rear of the sleeve has remained an excellent clean, fresh white in colour. Has the period thrее flipback design. These earliest known ‘Ernest J. Day’ paper flipbacks are known to be fragile and can ‘snag’ and tear easily, but on this sleeve the flipbacks are all excellent and undamaged. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. EXCELLENT condition. ( see pics.)
LABELS
Both sides are graded VERY GOOD(+). Labels are Yellow Parlophone with silver
print Type 4 label, First pressing 1964, Variant A! Black label with yellow logo and
silver print. "THE PARLOPHONE CO. LTD. (capital letter)" was printed at the perimeter. "RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1964" statement were printed on the label. "SOLD IN U.K. SUBJECT TO RESALE PRICE CONDITIONS, SEE PRICE LISTS." statement was printed at the center of the label. This notice appears on the labels of every UK market EMI product, from very early 1964, right through mid-1969. Tax code "K and T" letters were embossed (Side 1). This label has a chubby printing type. Labels
are clear, all the silver, yellow/black indications are in near excellent conditions. There are couple of age marks and very light traces/wear from the turntable spindle, almost noticeable traces of pen over yellow indication. VERY GOOD(+) conditions. (see pics.)
INNER SLEEVE
Original Tracing-race-paper-lined “USE EMITEX” Type-3 die-cut inner sleeve. "USE EMITEX" Sleeve Type-3 (1963 -1966) has words 'Made in England' and the words "PATENTS APPLIED
FOR" was removed from the
sleeve. Inner is in EXCELLENT(+) condition and is the original period EMI ‘Use Emitex’ sleeve. An excellent clean, fresh and un creased sleeve. The two opening edges have remained clean and unworn. Theres NO pen writing, stains, tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue. EXCELLENT(+) condition.
This original Beatles LP is becoming very rare and is very collectible, particularly in such perfect condition.
