Talking Heads were an American  band formed in 1975 in New York City and active until 1991. The band comprised  (, ),  (),  (), and  (, guitar). Former  students who became involved in the 1970s , Talking Heads integrated elements of , , , , and  with  sensibilities and the anxious stage persona of singer Byrne, helping to pioneer . The group produced several commercial hits and a number of multimedia projects throughout its career, and often collaborated with other artists, such as musician  and director . More Songs About Buildings and Food is the second studio album, released in July 1978 and the first of a string of three co-produced by . The band's blend of , , ,  and  influences, with 's voice, established the group as a critical success, reaching 29 in the US   and 21 in the . Fear of Music is the third studio , released on 3 August 1979 on . It was recorded at locations in  between April and May 1979 and was  by the quartet and . The album reached number 21 on the  in the United States and peaked at number 33 on the . Speaking in Tongues is the fifth studio album, released in 1983. The album was a commercial breakthrough that produced the band's first (and only) American Top 10 hit, "", which was accompanied by a promotional video. Little Creatures is the sixth studio album, released in June 1985. The album examines themes of  and incorporates elements of , with many of the songs featuring . It was voted as the best album of the year in   critics poll and is the band's biggest-selling studio album, with over two million copies sold in the US. True Stories is the seventh album released in 1986; it was released at the same time as the  film of the same name, . The album does not contain the actors' performances from the film. Instead, this is a Talking Heads studio album featuring recordings of songs from the film. While an  for this movie was never released, several of the film performances did appear on single releases of several songs from the album. Naked is the eighth and final studio album, released in early 1988. The band dissolved shortly after the album's release, but didn't announce their breakup until 1991.

Sounds from True Stories, subtitled Music for Activities Freaks is the soundtrack to 's 1986  . It was released only on  and .

The album is not a complete soundtrack recording, featuring only a couple of the vocal songs heard in the movie, with the rest being instrumental music. Byrne's band  released the album , which contained versions of the other songs in the film.

All covers are Very Good Plus or better...only minor shelf wear... Five of seven still in plastic. Records are Excellent or better...  Inner paper sleeves are original and may have split sides  ...These are from my personal collection... I bought them when they first came out. Always handled with care...never loaned out.  These all play great and could be used to record from.
