Powderfinger's Bernard Fanning releases the vinyl version of his debut solo album Tea & Sympathy, The first cuts from it are the infectious tracks Wish You Well and Songbird, Recorded at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios in the UK by Tchad Blake (Crowded House, Pearl Jam, Gomez), Tea & Sympathy sees Bernard crossing the country-rock bridge with what he describes as a "porch record", The bulk of Tea & Sympathy was written by Bernard at his Brisbane residence over the last twelve months and features Melbourne multi-instrumentalist John Bedggood, who Bernard first met when they worked together on the Ned Kelly film, Bernard co-produced the fourteen tracks featured on Tea & Sympathy and as well as singing he played guitar, keyboards, harmonica and percussion.
