SO IF YOU HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THAT ULTIMATE BEATLES WHITE ALBUM, THEN YOU MAY WELL HAVE FOUND IT RIGHT HERE.

AS A COLLECTOR YOU WILL KNOW THAT THIS SET IS ONE OF THE HARDEST TO FIND IN ANYTHING OTHER THAN FAIR TO VERY GOOD CONDITION. OF ALL THE BEATLES ALBUMS THIS IS THE ONE THAT CONTINUES TO BE PROBLEMATICAL WHEN TRYING TO OBTAIN A HIGH GRADE COPY. I WILL SAY RIGHT FROM THE OFF THAT IF NOTHING ELSE YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO THE TRACK ' JULIA' WHICH ON VIRTUALLY EVERY COPY SOUNDS POOR AND OFTEN DISTORTED, BUT NOT ON THIS  OUTSTANDING EXAMPLE

I WILL START WITH ANOTE ABOUTH THE SLEEVE ON THIS SET BECAUSE WHAT YOU WILL SEE HERE IS THE WHITEST, CLEANEST, MOST CREASE FREE TOP LOADING ORIGINAL COVER THAT YOU ARE EVER LIKELY TO COME ACROSS. OVER THE YEARS MOST OF THESE COVERS HAVE YELLOWED UNDER THE LAMINATE AND SOME EVEN HAVE TURNED VIRTUALLY BROWN. IT IS NIGH ON IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND A SLEEVE THAT IS STILL PURE WHITE, BUT IF YOU WIN THIS AUCTION YOU WILL GET A PERFECTLY WHITE SLEEVE, ALONG WITH A PRISTINE SET OF INSERTS AND A VINYL THAT IS ALSO JUST PRISTINE

THE RECORDS

THE LABELS

THE APPLE LABELS ARE IN TOP CONDITION. THE DARK GREEN SIDES ARE VERY RICH AND VIBRANT, AND HAVE LOST NONE OF THE COLOUR AT ALL. THE BLACK TYPEFACE IS BOLD AND PERFECTLY LEGIBLE. THE WHITE SIDES ARE VERY WHITE AND HAVE NO MARKS OR STAINS AT ALL ON EITHER SIDE. THE SPINDLE HOLES ARE UNWORN, AND THERE ARE JUST 3-4 SMALL SPIDER LINES CLOSE TO THE SPINDLE HOLE SHOWING THAT THE SET HAS BARELY BEEN NEAR A TURNTABLE SINCE 1968, ALMOST 50 YEARS AGO

THE VINYL

ALL 4 SIDES ARE GLEAMING LIKE NEW AND HAVE RETAINED ALL OF THE ORIGINAL SHEEN AND LUSTRE. IN DAYLIGHT THEY LOOK TOTALLY FLAWLESS. MOST COPIES ARE VISIBLY SCRATCHED AND SCUFFED, BUT THIS SET HAS NO MORE THAN A FEW WISPY HAIRLINES AND THE ODD SMALL SUPERFICIAL NON SOUNDING ANGEL HAIRLINE HANDLING LINE. CERTAINLY NOTHING THAT CAUSES ANY UNWANTED ISSUES WITH THE SOUND AS YOU WILL HEAR WHEN YOU PLAY THE SOUNDBITES

PLAYING THE RECORD

I BELIEVE THAT IF YOU ARE GOING TO SPEND YOUR MONEY ON A FANTASTIC COLLECTIBLE VINYL, THAT YOU SHOULD BE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO HEAR WHAT YOU ARE BUYING. I HAVE THEREFORE INVESTED IN THE SOFTWARE THAT ALLOWS YOU TO DO JUST THAT.

I HAVE RECORDED THE ENTIRE SET FROM START TO FINISH AS I NOW DO WITH ALL MY LISTINGS BECAUSE I BELIEVE THAT BIDDERS WOULD LOOVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE ABLE TO HEAR THE RECORD BEFORE LAYING A BID. THIS IS A SERVICE I AM DELIGHTED TO BE ABLE TO OFFER MY CUSTOMERS

THE FIRST THING TO POINT OUT IS THAT THE RECORDS PLAY WITHOUT DISTORTION CAUSED BY GROOVE WEAR. I HAVE LOST COUNT OF HOW MANY SETS I HAVE PLAYED TO FIND A CONSTANT BACKGROUND NOISE COMING OUT OF ONE CHANEL WHERE THE VINYL WAS SUBJECTED TO A HEAVY OR WORN 1960'S NEEDLE

THE DISCS PLAY SUPERBLY, AND I WOULD URGE YOU TO TAKE A LISTEN IN PARTICULAR TO THE QUIET TRACKS TO HEAR THE CLARITY OF THE SOUND. JULIA IS ALWAYS A TRACK THAT REPRODUCES POORLY ON MOST COPIES, BUT THIS ONE SOUNDS PERFECT

THE LINKING GROOVES ARE SILENT, AND THE RICH STEREO SOUND IS CRYSTAL CLEAR AND REPRODUCES AS A 1ST PRESS SHOULD

IN ADDITION TO THERE BEING NO BACKGROUND CRACKLE, AND NO LOUD CLICKS OR POPS, THERE IS ALSO NO EMBEDDED VINYL NOISE EITHER

I SIT NO MORE THAN 12 INCHES FROM MY SPEAKERS AS I TYPE THIS OUT WHILST LISTENING TO THE ALBUM, AND I THEREFORE DETECT EVERY LITTLE NOISE, FAR MORE SO THAT IF I WAS SITTING AT NORMAL LISTENING RANGE AS YOU WILL IF YOU WIN IT

I HEARD ONLY THE ODD LITTLE SECOND OF BARELY AUDIBLE STATIC LIKE BACKGROUND IN A FEW OF THE MOST SILENT PASSAGES, AND ALSO NO MORE THAN a OF THE TINIEST LITTLE STATIC TICS THROUGH OUT THE WHOLE FOUR SIDES

I DON'T BELIEVE THAT THIS COULD SOUND ANY CLEANER AND I HAVE TO DESCRIBE THE AUDIO REPRODUCTION AS VERY VERY CLOSE TO A MINT GRADE

PLEASE DON'T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT THOUGH, TAKE A GOOD LISTEN AND JUDGE FOR YOURSELF

THE SLEEVE

ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT EXAMPLE OF THIS ICONIC BEATLES SLEEVE

MOST COPIES WILL HAVE MANY FLAWS RANGING FROM NICKS AND RIPS, THROUGH SEVERE RING WEAR, AND DEEP YELLOWING OF THE ONCE GLEAMING WHITE SURFACE. HERE HOWEVER WE HAVE ONE IN STUNNING PRISTINE WHITE CONDITION!!!

THE FRONT SURFACE IS FLAT AND CLEAN. THE PICTURE YOU WILL SEE IN THE LISTING IS TAKEN NEXT TO TWO OTHER WHITE ALBUM SLEEVES , ONE WHICH I WOULD CONSIDER PRETTY WHITE, AND THE OTHER SHOWING SIGNS OF AGEING THROUGH THE NATURAL YELLOWING UNDER THE LAMINATE. YOU WILL SEE I HOPE THAT THE ONE THAT ONE OF THEM STANDS OUT FROM THE OTHERS CONSIDERABLY, AND THAT ONE IS THE WHITE ONE THAT IS WITH THIS SET. IT IS FOR SOME REASON DIFFICULT TO SHOW JUST HOW WHITE A SLEEVE IS WITH A PICTURE BUT BY COMPARING IT TO TWO OTHERS I HOPE THE MESSAGE GETS THROUGH

AS PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED THERE ARE NO HEAVY CREASES OR DEEP CREASE LINES, NOR ARE THERE ANY BENDS TO THE FRONT SURFACE. NO RING WEAR AND NO RECORD SHAPE, AND ALSO NO DAMAGE TO THE LAMINATE COVERING THE EMBOSSED 'BEATLES' LETTERING

THE LAMINATE STILL GLEAMS LIKE A POLISHED MIRROR. THERE IS JUST ONE MINUSCULE LAMINATE LINE AGAINST THE LOWER SECTION OF THE SPINE AND ONE ALSO ON THE RIGHT HAND EDGE. BOTH ARE DIFFICULT TO SEE UNTIL THE COVER IS ANGLED INTO THE LIGHT. THE UNIQUE NUMBER IS VERY CLEAR AND HAS REMAINED UNRUBBED. STILL A VERY LOW NUMBER CONSIDERING THERE WERE 500,000 PRESSED AND THIS ONE HAS THE NUMBER 107979

THE TOP OPENING EDGE IS INCREDIBLY FREE FROM ANY BURRING WHATSOEVER AND BOTH SIDES OF THE GATEFOLD ARE RAZOR SHARP STILL

THE BOTTOM AND RIGHT EDGES ARE FREE FROM AMY SHELF WEAR AND FULLY LAMINATED.THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER TIP END HAS A TINY SPECK OF RUB TO THE TIP .

THE SPINE IS FLAT AND UNSQUASHED AND FREE FROM ANY MARKS OR STAINS. THE LAMINATE LIKE IT DOES ON VIRTUALLY EVERY COPY HAS FLAKED IN A FEW SMALL PATCHES DUE TO IT SPLITTING IN THE MIDDLE ALONG THE SPINE WHEN THE GATEFOLD WAS OPENED. I HAVE TO STRESS THAT THIS IS THE ONLY MINOR BLEMISH ON AN OTHERWISE PRISTINE SLEEVE

THE REAR SURFACE IS VERY BIT AS CLEAN AND TIDY AS THE FRONT.AGAIN  JUST A TINY FINGERNAIL SIZED SPECK OF LAMINATE LIFT IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER

OPENING THE GATEFOLD REVEALS TWO VERY WHITE INTERIOR PANELS WITHOUT CREASES ETC.

INSIDE THE TOP OPENING SLEEVE THE RECORDS SIT IN THE ORIGINAL BLACK DIE CUT INNER SLEEVES. YOU WILL NOT FIND A MORE PRISTINE PAIR OF THESE INNERS ANYWHERE. THEY TOTALLY BACK UP THE FACT THAT THIS SET HAS HARDLY BEEN PLAYED. THERE IS NOT ONE SPECK OF DAMAGE TO EITHER OF THEM. USUALLY FOUND SPLIT WITH TEARS TO THE DIECUT HOLES, AND FRAYED TOP EDGES, THESE TWO ARE ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. VERY FLAT WITH JUST THE LIGHTEST RECORD IMPRESSION WHERE THE LP'S HAVE SAT UNDISTURBED FOR ALL THESE YEARS

THE POSTER IS JUST IMMACULATE AND EASILY THE BEST ONE I HAVE EVER HANDLED. IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS SET HAS JUST REMAINED IN A COLLECTION WITHOUT BEING DISTURBED FOR A VERY LONG TIME. THE POSTER IS PURE WHITE AND COMPLETELY FREE FROM ANY MARKS, OR THE USUALY STAINS. THE FOLD LINES ARE ABSOLUELY RAZOR SHARP

THE FOUR HEAVY CARDDED PHOTOS ARE ALSO JUST IMMACULATE. AND SORRY TO KEEP REPEATING MTSELF BUT THEY JUST HAVE NOT BEEN HANDLED, THERE ARE NO CREASES OR REALLY ANY FINGERMARKS, AND ONCE AGAIN FURTHER EVIDENCE THAT THE SET HAS BARELY BEEN TOUCHED OVER THE YEARS.

THE SET IS PROPERLY COMPLETED BY THE OFTEN DISCARDED SPACER SHEET WHICH AS YOU WILL EXPECT BY NOW IS IN THE SAME PRISTINE CONDITION AS THE REST OF THE INSERTS

ONE OF THE BEST EXAMPLES OF THE WHITE ALBUM SLEEVE YOU ARE EVER LIKELY TO FIND, AND I HAVE NO HESITATION IN SAYING THAT IS HAS TO GRADE VERY CLOSE TO MINT!!!

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR BID IF YOU CHOSE TO GO FOR IT
