BEATLES UK, Revolver LP, original 1966 UK mono.

PMC 7009 – original 1966 UK black and yellow Parlophone labels.

An early UK mono album in original condition, featuring:

1. a more unusual mono sleeve made by the printing company, ‘E J Day’,

2. it is unusual that the ‘mothers’ on side one are made up of three numbers, they are ‘610’. These ‘mothers’ are usually just made up of one or maybe two numbers.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. This laminate has remained clean and glossy. The sleeve is more unusual as it is made by the company of, ‘E J Day’. The spine is in very good+ condition and all the text is clear to read on the spine. The two opening edges of the sleeve have remained sharp. The rear features the original 1960s ‘tri’ flip back design. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers on the sleeve. On the front of the sleeve there are two areas of print detail and laminate ‘loss’, one area is to the bottom left corner, the second is to the top right. There is some old cellotape residue to the top front left and to the top right rear and some age related marks, here and there on the rear.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original EMI period ‘Patents applied for’ plain white inner sleeve. The two opening edges have remained very clean, an excellent clean, crease free, well preserved inner sleeve for its age. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

THE RECORD: side one is in excellent++ condition and side two is in very good++ condition. The record is made of the period 1960s, thick heavy vinyl. The record has remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix are: XEX 605 - 2 and XEX 606 – 3,

The mother/stampers are: ‘610 GPM’ and ‘3 GRA’,

THE AUDIO: side one plays excellent++, it plays with excellent quiet grooves, a near perfect audio. Side two plays excellent, I did hear on track six, about half way through some ‘ticks’ for a short while and some ‘ticks’ to the end of track seven. The record plays with a full loud, powerful period mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: side one is in excellent+ condition, side two is in excellent condition. The letters ‘KT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side two. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
