Franklin Mint Archive Collection Released in 1980 &1981 All of the Box Sets have the Booklets and the original Inner sleeves and protection foam padding on the bottoms.
Issue 3-4  Harry James LP One side has a very  light scratch through the first 3 tracks on one side  and there is no dicernable noise at all from the scratch even between tracks. Other than that the vinyl is near mint. The second LP Entitled Horace Heidt, Jack Jenney, Claude Hopkins the vinyl looks mint and I don't see one scratch on in. This box set includes the Subscriber Letter from the Franklin Mint along with the warning Notice to let the records stand in room temperature before playing..
Issue 5-6  Larry Clinton/Boyd-Raeburn Larry Clinton LP  There s a skuff mark through a couple of tracks. One side of the inner sleeve has a little soiling at the top shown in picture #5.The second LP  Vaughn Monroe, Gus Arnheim. The Vinyl looks mint like it has never been played before. This box set has the Booklet, Subscriber Letter, and "Special Notice"
Issue 7-8 Duke Ellington LP The Red Vinyl Looks mint.                 Frankie Carle Bob Chester LP  The Bob Chester last track "If I Was The Moon" has some very light scratches on it. The are mostly near the middle to the end of the track but they are discernable. There is no skipping.  The Frankie Carle Side has some of those same very light short scratches in track 2, Sunrise Seranade. It still plays nice with an occasional little pop of static. Nothing constant. Other than that the vinyl looks near mint. This box set contains the booklet the subscriber letter.
Issue 9-10  Both of The Tommy Dorsey LP's Red Vinyl look near mint. I don't see any noticeable scratches at all on it on either side that would affect the play. The Subscriber Letter is there along with the Booklet. The upper left front of the box has a mark on it that you should be able to see in the photographs
Issue 11-12  The Benny Goodman LP  Tracks 1,2,3 have some skuff marks through them. I did not notice any issue when it played through all three tracks even in between the tracks. The Shep Fields/Ted Weems LP looks Near Mint with nothing noticeable that should affect the play.. This box set contains the Booklet but does not have the Subscriber letter.
Issue 13-14  The Jimmy Dorsey LP has some light scratches on Track 4 "John Silver" The Erskine Hawkins Les Elgart/Ted Lewis LP the Red Vinyl is Near mint but there are some very light scratches halfway through the trail off that of course would not affect the play. This box set has the Booklet but no Subscriber letter.
This is part of a beautiful set that the Franklin Mint put out in 1980 &1981, at least for these issues. There are other issues that came out readily available on eBay from time to time for a fraction of what these must have gone for back then I'm sure. Who ever owned these previously took good care of them to have kept them in the original plastic bags. All the boxes are beautiful with one exception noted and that is minor. See Photo #7
