Ninth/9th Press - (summer 1981 – August 1982). This is the record with the last type/version of the Black/Yellow Parlophone MONO label, that came out up to now. Black label with yellow Parlophone logo and silver print. “ALL RIGHTS OF THE PRODUCER…” printed at the start perimeter print. Importantly, around the 7 ‘o’ clock position in the rimtext the wording is: “…UNAUTHORISED PUBLIC PERFORMANCE, BROADCASTING, COPYING AND HIRING…”. “MANUFACTURED IN THE UK BY EMI RECORDS LIMITED” text at the end of the perimeter print.
This original Beatles LP is becoming very rare and is very collectible, particularly in such perfect condition! NEAR MINT! This is limited MONO press from the 1982, when EMI decided to produse a Mono box set with authentic 60's labels.
CONDITIONS:
Sleeve: Mint, a slight glossy gloss, unlaminated outer sleeve with large “mono” on front. Excellent, in fantastic condition with spine in great condition. Original press "Printed and Made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd" with large MONO on front side. The sleeve is holding up fine with no splits or tears, or anything other. Perfect example of this original, thick, healthy cardboard sleeve!
Record: Near Mint, I can define it as mint, if there were not a few light traces on the Label side 2, Label side 1 is absolutely mint. Lovely deep gloss sheen, No any surface faint scuffing, No any marks or scratches to either side. No jumps or stalls - a great sounding vinyl record. Looking really perfect, nice lafter storage for 35 years.! So hard to find original vinyls of this condition! Matrix numbers: Side One: XEX 421-3, Side Two: XEX 422-2N.
Audio: Mint, plays fine, deep solid mono sound, with no sticks jumps or excessive surface noise, certainly a decent & very playable original UK copy. No any light clicks and pops, between the songs, that is fine for vinyl records more than 35 years.
Inner sleeve: Mint, White paper standard EMI inner sleeve, no tears or bends at all. Original EMI White paper sleeve "IMPORTANT NOTICE in rectangle box" Type-3 (Feb. 1981?--). "PATENT No. 1,125,555" was printed at the bottom of the white plain paper sleeve. Labels: With unusual rare missing "Sold In U.K....." text for the later 1963 LP records "Please Please Me". The labels are in Near Mint condition. The labels are clean, the text is bright and full readable, there are no tears, stickers etc. Both labels have not any spindle wear.
