Condition: 

Please read and remember this is a 40 year old vintage item 😀 pics and grading are honest so please look.  Graded VERY CRITICALLY under VERY bright spotlight + test play. Pics show item under bright spotlights. I never grade MINT unless its a brand-new album...be wary of sellers who over-use the word 'mint'....!  Cleaned by hand using high grade cleaning fluid (L'arc du Son), distilled water and suitable cleaning cloths. 

Vinyl Surfaces - EX

Audio Test - with Audio Technica deck and Studio headphones. 

Plays 'EX'  with only the faintest of background noise between tracks or on very quiet parts of songs.  The whole album sounds bright and true and shows off the original mastering of this KISS classic in its Analogue spleandour. 

Visual Inspection/Bright Light: VG+

Moderate number of light hairline marks and a few more prominent marks/light scratches on each side when looking carefully under bright spotlights - the kind of marks left by cleaning with a cloth and general handling of an LP played lots of times but well cared for.   From its condition I'd say this has been in storage for a good while.

Vinyl Labels - EX+

• No marks 

• Colours and printed text all perfect 

• Tiny amount of wear on spindle holes 

Outer Sleeve - VG+

• Great condition for age but does have some wear: 

Spine has been flatted a bit, so part of the writing ('CAL2006' on bottom) can be seen when looking at the back cover. Album Name 'KISS - KISS' is clear and in right place  Top right, to the right of Ace's eye level, there's some edge-wear/indentation about 1 inch long

• No major marks, creases or colour loss on front or back covers 

• Moderate mall amount of wear on each corner/edge, no holes or splits 

• Spine has some moderate wear (please see pics), writing is visible, no splits 

Vintage White Inner Sleeve - EX 

• Nice yellowed vintage, basic white inner sleeve. Nothing more to say really...! 

Vinyl Care/Preparation

• I hand-clean every vinyl listed using L'Arc Du Son cleaning solution. This removes old grease, dust etc. to improve the playback quality. This does sometimes leave residue marks, but these don't affect play. 

• Once cleaned, I 'buff' the Vinyl using a very soft cleaning-cloth, then place it into an anti-static black sleeve. This sleeve is supplied with the Vinyl you buy. 

•  I also carefully clean and dry the Vinyl outer sleeves to remove old finger marks, dirt and dust. Once done the sleeves are placed into a PVC sleeve to keep them nice and clean, they are shipped with the plastic sleeve. 

•  Vinyls are then listened to end-to-end before grading, in order to make sure they don't skip etc. BEWARE VISUAL-ONLY GRADINGS...some Vinyls that look Near Mint to the eye have skips, others that look marked play near-perfectly. I've learned that you can't grade a Vinyl without listening to it :) 

•  Finally, I take lots of pics and rip the Vinyl to 256kbps MP3 (budget deck only at the moment) and make a sample video, uploaded to YouTube to let you hear the quality of the vinyl surfaces and see HD large pictures of the item. 

•  All of the above is done to help buyers be sure of what they are getting before they spend hard-earned money! For this reason, I am not the cheapest on eBay and don't want to be. All offers are considered but please don't expect me to give them away :)

• Well packaged in stiff, thick card mailer + Stiffeners for protection. 

• Vinyl will be removed from inner and securely packed during shipping to prevent splits 

• I combine shipping cost for multiple purchases - please contact me to let me know before paying and I will give you a quote. 

• Please note: eBay and PayPal combined charge me 15% fees on shipping, so unfortunately I have to pass this on. The shipping amount on the label will be a bit lower than the amount you pay...I don't make money on shipping 😀

Mint (M)

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condiition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX)

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG)

The record has obviously been played many times, but displayes no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any moajor defects is acceptable

Good (G)

Te record has been played so much that the sound quality has notceably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F)

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P)

The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

Bad (B)

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
