Die Inspiration für sein neues Album "Mirapolis" bezog der französische Produzent Rone aus seiner Leidenschaft für den Filmklassiker "Metropolis" sowie seinem Wunsch, Kultregisseur Michel Gondry zu treffen, der für Rone das Albumcover entwarf. Das Ergebnis ist ein cineastisches Meisterwerk, an dessen Entstehung viele prominente Gastmusiker beteiligt waren, darunter John Stanier (Battles), Bryce Dessner (The National), die französische Death Metal-Band Vacarme Band, Avantgardist Gaspar Claus, US-Slam-Poet Saul Williams, Baxter Dury (Sohn des legendären Ian Dury), die israelische Elektronikerin Noga Erez sowie Blonde Redhead-Sängerin Kazu Makino.
