Classic Psychedelic Garage Rock.  Originally released in 1969 under Public Records, Hunger, obtained moderate local success in there home city of Portland, Oregon before moving to Los Angeles were they played several festivals with a number of commercially successful artists including Whisky a go-go, Steppenwolf, Procol Harum, Kaleidoscope, and Hour Glass(Which later became The Allman Brothers Band).  Los Angeles locals often compared Hunger the The Doors, another LA band.
This was the first and last LP released by Hunger, there have been several re-releases of this record since 1969, some including a collection of songs called "The Lost Album".
First presses tend to go for more then one-thousand dollars because not many were printed due to a lack of commercial success, and the increasing popularity of the band.
Today the Hunger isn't a household known band but they have a strong cult following making this record great for someone who want a piece of Psychedelic Garage Rock history but doesn't want to spent one-thousand dollars.
