Red Hot Chili Peppers S/T Debut 1st Album 1984 UK EMI LP in Orig Shrink. Vinyl EX/Sleeve Near Mint + Original Plain white 'DRG' Made In England Inner
MikesListeningBooth 😀 If you'd like to hear MP3 samples of the actual LP listed, please let me know and I can send you a private link. I play all my vinyl in full as part of grading and also record/convert to hi-res MP3.
Notes:
• 1984 UK Press on EMI
• Barcode 0077779061617
• Matrix/Runout Side A MTL 1056 A-1U-1-2 'D'
• Matrix/Runout Side B MTL 1056 B-1U-1-2 'D'
• From my personal collection. Bought in the late 80s from HMV I think, played a few times and taped then stored for about 30 Years (how time flies...)
• I left the original shrink-wrap on, then placed in a plastic sleeve, so the outer sleeve really is near mint.
Sensible offers are considered but please don't expect me to give stuff away 😀
Condition - Please read and remember this is a 32 year old vintage item 😀 Pics and grading are honest so please look & read.
Vinyl Surfaces - EX+
Audio Test - EX+
Very light background noise in the gaps between some tracks, little-to-no noise on most. No apparent loss of quality, no obvious distortion. No skips For a 32 Year Old Vinyl this is outstanding.• Graded VERY CRITICALLY under VERY bright spotlights.
•A small to moderate number of very light hairlines only and 1 or 2 larger marks. No deep scratches. Great sheen.
• In bright daylight the vinyl looks mint. It really is in excellent condition for its age.
• Pics show the vinyl under very bright spotlights
• This has been very well cared for and has nice sheen.
Outer Sleeve - NM
Front and back cover have great sheen, no colour loss. No visible mars or creases. Fraction of a millimetre of corner wear, if at all. Spine has no visible wear as it has been protected by the original shrink-wrap.Vinyl Labels - NM
• Minimal wear
• No mould marks.
• Colours and printed text all perfect
• Tiny amount of wear on spindle holes
Vinyl Care/Preparation
• I hand-clean every vinyl listed using L'Arc Du Son cleaning solution. This removes old grease, dust etc. to improve the playback quality. This does sometimes leave residue marks, but these don't affect play.
• Once cleaned, I 'buff' the Vinyl using a very soft cleaning-cloth, then place it into an anti-static black sleeve. This sleeve is supplied with the Vinyl you buy.
• I also carefully clean and dry the Vinyl outer sleeves to remove old finger marks, dirt and dust. Once done the sleeves are placed into a PVC sleeve to keep them nice and clean, they are shipped with the plastic sleeve.
• Vinyls are then listened to end-to-end before grading, in order to make sure they don't skip etc. BEWARE VISUAL-ONLY GRADINGS...some Vinyls that look Near Mint to the eye have skips, others that look marked play near-perfectly. I've learned that you can't grade a Vinyl without listening to it :)
• Finally, I take lots of pics and rip the Vinyl to 256kbps MP3 (budget deck only at the moment) and make a sample video, uploaded to YouTube to let you hear the quality of the vinyl surfaces and see HD large pictures of the item.
• All of the above is done to help buyers be sure of what they are getting before they spend hard-earned money! For this reason, I am not the cheapest on eBay and don't want to be. Sensible offers are considered but please don't expect me to give them away :)
Shipping & Payment
• Well packaged in stiff, thick card mailer + Stiffeners for protection.
• Vinyl removed from inner and securely packed during shipping to prevent splits
