JOY DIVISION - "CLOSER" - VINYL LP

FACTORY - FACT 25 - 1980 -  UK 1ST PRESS A1/B1 MATRIX  

Rare 1980 UK 1st pressing of 'Closer' with A1/B1 matrix numbers, 'Old Blue?' inscribed in the run out and the record glows translucent red when held up to light (only initial pressings).

It comes with the 1st issue thick card textured sleeve & square-cornered inner -  9 tracks - please see photo for tracklisting

CONDITION (vinyl/cover) 

EX (very nice clean & glossy copy with just small signs of play on the side 1 label, the side 2 label shows no spindlemarks; disc surface shows some very light surface marks (mainly from inner sleeve removal) when studied in angled light and the record itself plays great with clean clear audio and only a few minor surface noises which are light, momentary and do not spoil the music)

 / EX+ (1st issue sleeve on thick textured card in fantastic condition for this easily worn/stained sleeve; very solid with bright uncreased surfaces and sharp unworn edges/spine; the photo image on the front is perfect as is all of the text; there is some very light storage rubbing coming through on the white colour around the edges and one very mild crease in the middle of the front cover but overall this is a superb example and incredibly well-preserved for its near 40-year age)

Inner sleeve printed on thick textured paper is very close to perfect with crisp clean uncreased surfaces and no splits, rippling or writing, the only thing to fault is a couple of small/light discolouration spots NR MINT
