Vinyl Surfaces EX
Audio Test EX on good quality Audio Technica Deck and Studio Monitors
Light background noise in the gaps between some tracks, little-to-no noise on most. No apparent loss of quality, no obvious distortion. No skips Occasional click which happens on most vinyl, even brand newVisual Bright-Light EX
Small-to-Moderate number of light hairlines and a few larger marks that don't affect play. No deep scratches. Deep cleaned using L'Art Du Son, Goat-Hair Vinyl brush and soft clothsVinyl Labels EX+
• Some spindle wear but no major marks.
Outer Sleeve EX
Gloss Finish cover. No major marks or creases front or back. Light wear on edges or spine - all writing perfect. A few hairline creases from spine-to -cover and minor corner wear but in great condition for age.Outer Sleeve EX
Original Picture/Inner in outstanding condition for age. No marks, a few small hairline creases and virtually no wear.• I hand-clean every vinyl listed using L'Art Du Son cleaning solution. This removes old grease, dust etc. to improve the playback quality. This does sometimes leave residue marks, but these don't affect play. I use a top quality goat-hair brush, vacuum off the fluid, then dry and buff with soft cloths.
• The vinyl then goes into an anti-static sleeve, supplied with the Vinyl you buy.
• I also carefully clean and dry the Vinyl outer sleeves to remove old finger marks, dirt and dust. Once done the sleeves are placed into a PVC sleeve to keep them nice and clean, they are shipped with the plastic sleeve.
• Vinyls are then listened to end-to-end before grading, in order to give a full, honest grading. BEWARE VISUAL-ONLY GRADINGS :) ...some Vinyls that look Near Mint to the eye have skips, others that look marked play near-perfectly. I've learned that you can't grade a Vinyl without listening to it :)
• Finally, I take lots of pics and rip the Vinyl to WAV so buyers can either hear in advance, and/or have an accompanying digital download of the Vinyl.
• All of the above is done to help buyers be sure of what they are getting before they spend hard-earned money and to provide a good service. For this reason, I'm not aiming to be the cheapest on eBay, but to provide accurately graded, clean vinyl so you don't have to worry about hit-and-miss chance of buying quality :)
