Owl John, aka Scott Hutchison of critically acclaimed Scottish group Frightened Rabbit, is proud to announce the release of his self-titled debut album through Atlantic Records.

The Owl John album, which showcases Scott’s trademark brutal honesty, sees a different direction from the music of Frightened Rabbit. Raw, powerful and often heart-breaking, Owl John will see Scott step out of Frightened Rabbit’s shadow.

Scott has to say:

“It's been about ten years since I had the notion to add the word 'Owl' as a middle name. Scott Owl John Hutchison. I thought it had a really splendid flow to it. I suppose I enjoy owls as much as most people, admiring their weird neck thing and having read 'Plop' countless times as a wee one. I don't buy the wisdom bit, but they are incredibly good at being owls and it would be nice to be as effective at being a human. Sadly, I'm not and it is from this croaking foible that songs come. The desperate crunch of failure sat right next to the fizzing, spumante spark of joy. They cackle and point at each other because they don't understand their opponent. You will find me sitting between them, eating a bag of nuts (not Brazils, they make my mouth itch) and documenting the whole sorry episode.

Scott hails from Selkirk, Scotland and formed Frightened Rabbit with his brother Grant (drums), bassist Billy Kennedy and guitarist Andy Monaghan in 2003. They have released 4 studio albums to date.

Vinyl Records and their Sleeves are very easily damaged in the post, with our 13 years experience we take great care when packaging vinyl records, by opening and removing the inner sleeve (without touching the record) to try and avoid any problems.

***Although, if you would rather we did not carefully open one side of the PVC sleeve (if supplied), please contact us once the order has been placed, we cannot accept any responsibility for spine damage to the sleeve in transit if the record is not removed***

Shipping

DELIVERY TIMESCALE: We expect to deliver all orders within 7 working days of the orders being placed. Still, sometimes delivery could take longer, according to the destination country and its postal services:

- up to 14 working days for UK parcels

- up to 21 working days for Europe parcels

- up to 30 working days for Worldwide parcels

If your parcel has still not arrived within the periods stated above (according to your country), please contact us straight away.

All orders are shipped by Royal Mail.

RETURNS POLICY: We want you to be happy with your purchase. To return a faulty item, please e-mail us. We test returned goods and reserve the right to return the product to you at your expense if we cannot reproduce the fault on our equipment. In the event that your order is damaged in transit, please ensure the goods remain sealed, refunds will not be made if we deem that the customer is responsible for the damaged caused.

UNWANTED PURCHASES: You may return your order by informing us of this by email up to 14 days after received the delivery. Goods must be returned to us unopened (factory sealed) or un-used and you must obtain a proof of postage receipt for the returned goods.

Faulty / Delivery Errors: To return an item you believe is faulty or you have received the wrong item, please e-mail us. We test all returned goods and reserve the right to return the product to you at your expense if we cannot reproduce or agree the fault is a manufacturing fault. In the event that your order is damaged in the post, please ensure the goods remain sealed, refunds will not be made if we deem that the customer is responsible for the damaged caused.

Should you receive any items that you did not order, or that prove to be faulty, you can return them to us by emailing to request our returns address within 14 days of delivery.

Damaged items: If the damage is limited to standard cases, please email us with details of the damaged cases and we can send replacements out to you. If the damage affects the product itself, the libretto or any non-standard packaging, please follow the instructions for faulty items within 14 days of receiving the delivery.

Unwanted Purchases: You may return your order by informing us of this by email up to 14 days after receiving the delivery. Goods must be returned to us unopened (factory sealed) or un-used and you must obtain a proof of postage receipt for the returned goods, the buyer is responsible for return costs.

Please note that we are unable offer an exchange service on unwanted items. If you wish to exchange your order, please return the item for a refund, and place an order for the alternate item. We are happy to refund unwanted items that are returned to us within 21 days after receiving the delivery.

For all returns: Please enclose a note quoting your order number, what you are returning, the reason for return, and specifying whether you require the correct item to be sent out, or a refund within 21 days of receiving the item. All goods that are returned to Assai-Sent2u are the responsibility of the customer and you may wish to send goods by a secure postal method (Recorded or Registered Post). We are not liable for goods that do not reach us.
