BEATLES UK, With the Beatles, original UK 1963 stereo LP.

PCS 3045, original UK 1963 black and yellow Parlophone labels.

A UK first issue stereo copy in original condition, featuring:

1. a first issue ‘dark and grainy’ front sleeve photo. It was soon thought that these first issue ‘dark and grainy’ front sleeve photos were too dark, so efforts were made at the printers to try and make the photo image ‘lighter’ and less ‘grainy’,

2. an unusual cover variant as the ‘heads’ of ‘The Beatles’, appear in ‘silhouette !’, against the dark background. On usual ‘dark and grainy’ sleeves the ‘silhouette’ is not present as their heads blend into the dark back ground !,

3. on side two of the record label, on track seven, it features the ‘corrected’ publishing credit, as it reads, ‘Dominion. Belinda (Ldn) Ltd. NCB’. Most of these first issue UK 1963 stereo copies featured the incorrect, ‘Jobete’ credit !, so it is more unusual to find this ‘corrected credit’,

4. on side two of the record label, on track three it features the ‘corrected’ spelling of, ‘Got a’, but on the rear of the sleeve it features the ‘incorrect’ spelling of, ‘Gotta !’, for the track, ‘You really got a hold on me’.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is in very good++ condition and has remained clean, white and ‘straight’ for its age and most of the text on the spine is readable. The rear of the sleeve features the original 1960s, ‘tri flip back’ design, ie fold over edges. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent++ condition and is the original, ‘Use Emitex’ inner sleeve. The two opening edges are in excellent condition, an excellent well preserved, clean, white and relatively un creased inner sleeve. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stains, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve.

THE RECORD: side one is in excellent++ condition and side two is in excellent+ condition. The record is made from the period 1960s, thick, heavy vinyl. The record has remained very dark and glossy, a well looked after copy.

The matrix are: YEX 110 - 2 and YEX 111 – 2,

The mother / stampers are: ‘3 M’ and ‘1 M’,

THE AUDIO: each side plays excellent++, it plays with just some light ‘crackle’ heard here and there. The record lays flat on the turntable. The record plays with a loud, full powerful period, stereo sound.

THE LABELS: each label is in excellent+ condition. The letters ‘KT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side two. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
