This auction is for the vinyl record "The Madcap Laughs" by Syd Barrett (former leader of Pink Floyd) released in the UK in 1970 by EMI/Harvest and produced by David Gilmour, Roger Waters, and Malcolm Jones. Catalogue number is SHVL 765.

Released in a gatefold sleeve - 6911 TPS Printed and made by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd., London.
This is the second pressing in full-laminated sleeve and with green Harvest labels with a boxed EMI logo.

I bought this over 35 years ago at The Record Peddler in Toronto Canada which specialized in UK imports. Album has been kept in a plastic sleeve its whole life and hence the gatefold cover is still in beautiful glossy condition. The only flaw that prevents me from grading this as MINT is a sticker affixed near the upper-right corner on the back of the sleeve. It's not a price sticker, and I'm not sure whether it was something put on by the record company itself, or whether it's some sort of import code for import into Canada. The vinyl itself is in MINT condition also; no scratches, skips, etc. I played it again for confirmation just prior to creating this listing.

-For US Buyers, this will be shipped via Tracked Packet; the cheapest option for which a tracking # and insurance are available.

-For International Buyers (everywhere outside of Canada and the US), this will be shipped via International Parcel - Surface mail. It’s quite expensive and very slow, but is unfortunately the cheapest method for which Canada Post will provide a tracking # and insurance. Typical delivery times are 6 - 8 weeks for the UK / Germany etc., with places like Australia, Italy, China, and others being closer to the 8 weeks.
