For auction is ART PEPPER "Meets the Rhythm Section" on Contemporary C 3532, MONO, DG, 1957. With Red Garland, Philly Joe Jones & Paul Chambers.

SOUND: VG

It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Side A is about VG/VG- for some surface noise/static throughout. Not too bad, it doesn't overpower the music. As well, cuts A1-2 have some popping; A3-5 are much better. Side B is quite good, about VG+. Only very light surface noise at times. A grade up from side A. Overall, the record is a very enjoyable listen!

VINYL: VG/VG-

Visually, the vinyl has numerous scuffs and light scratches on side A. I tried "feeling" them, but it was inconclusive.  Side B shows less wear, would be VG/VG+ on its own.  Matrix #'s are: LKL-12-121-D2 // LKL-12-122-D2.  On yellow Contemporary Labels with deep grooves. The labels are stamped "demo copy."

COVER: VG/VG+

The cover is not bad at all. Edges are all solid, with routine wear. The lower left front spine is fraying at the bottom. Corners have average wear. Both front and back have "Demo" stamps, otherwise reasonably clean, with average, routine ring-wear.

The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.

A valuable record, in decent condition, it has some minor noise issues, but still very listenable!  No reserve, bidding starts at $30.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.

Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.

If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material.  Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
