In 1969 Janis Joplin was on top of the world, arguably the biggest female artist in existence, she released her debut solo LP, performed at Woodstock and Madison Square Garden, and sold a ton of records. By the following year, her demons would catch up to her, and it would all be over. Here, recorded in Amsterdam, and various live US radio shows, is Janis in 69 and 70 with the Kozmic Blues Band, arguably her greatest backing band, ripping though originals and covers alike.
