BEATLES UK, Revolver, mis pressed record label, original 1966 UK mono LP.

PMC 7009, original 1966 UK black and yellow Parlophone record labels.

A UK mono album in original condition, featuring:

1. side one of the record label has been ‘mis pressed / mis aligned’ when it was put onto the record at the EMI factory !,

2. a more unusual mono sleeve made by, ‘E J Day’,

3. not only a more unusual sleeve made by, ‘E J Day’, but the mono logo printed on the front, top right, appears to have been printed ‘a number of times’ !, as it appears a lot ‘darker’ and a lot ‘bolder !’,

4. a more unusual ‘3’ record matrix on side two. After original 2/1 mono matrices were withdrawn from sale, later changes were still being made to the record matrix on side two !,

5. the record label on side two features the spelling of ‘Doctor’, but on the rear of the sleeve this track appears as ‘Dr !’,

6. the record label on side one features an ‘addition dot’, as it reads, ‘.U.K.’ etc,

7. comes with its original period black and white EMI advertising inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The sleeve is more unusual as it is made by the company of, ‘E J Day’. The spine is in very good+ condition and all the text on the spine is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve features the original 1960s, ‘tri ‘flip back’ design, ie fold over edges. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition and is the original period, EMI black and white advertising inner sleeve. The two opening edges have remained very clean, a clean and well preserved inner sleeve. The inner sleeve is made of the period heavy grade, quality paper with a textured surface on the inside. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve.

THE RECORD: side one is in very good++ condition and side two is in near excellent condition. The record is made of the period, 1960s thick heavy vinyl. The record has remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix are: XEX 605 - 2 and XEX 606 – 3,

The mother / stampers are: ‘5 GTA’ and ‘3 RDH’,

THE AUDIO: each side plays very good++. Each side plays with some ‘ticks’ and ‘pops’ heard here and there, but in general, each side plays with nice quiet grooves. The record plays with a full loud, powerful period mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: each of the record labels are in excellent condition. The letters ‘KT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.

BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVE, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
