For auction is WES MONTGOMERY's "SO Much Guitar!" on Riverside RLP 382, MONO, 1961. White Promo Label. With Hank Jones, Ron Carter, others.

SOUND: VG

It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Overall, the playback is very enjoyable. No major problems, but there is some light noise underneath. A few random tics on side B, but nothing over-the-top.

VINYL: VG or better

Overall, the vinyl appears clean and in good condition. However, there is one long, and one short scuff on side A (see pics.) Very noticeable, and it looks bad, but there is no depth to it, nor can it be felt. So it seems entirely cosmetic. The labels are a white "promo" edition "mike-and-reel." Very clean, with faint spindle-marks. No deep-grooves.

JACKET: G/VG

The top edge is completely split. The spine is split about three-quarters. The bottom is solid. Corners are a little rounded. Front cover is nice, unmarked with routine wear. The back has a "promo" stamp, but otherwise good, with routine wear.

The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.

Overall a very nice record. No reserve, bidding starts at $15.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.

Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.

If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material.  Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
