I've been collecting 78's for 25 years, but now it's time to sell some of them to make room for new acquisitions. I've been buying and selling (well, mostly buying) 78's over the internet for quite some time now, so don't worry: I know how to pack them.

Durium de Luxe K6

side A) "Cheer Up" (Eddie Cantor with Phil Spitalny's Music)

Recorded September 1931, great uptempo song, on an uncommon Durium record.

Record is in E- condition. It plays fine, but since it is slightly warped, as these Durium records often are, it may need a little extra weight to track correctly.

All records are graded conservatively, using the VJM Record Grading System.

VJM GRADING DEFINITIONS

N:  As new and unplayed (there are virtually no 78s that can categorically be claimed to be unplayed).

E+:  Plays like new, with very, very few signs of handling, such as tiny scuffs from being slipped in and out of jackets. E+ is the highest grade I use.

E: Still very shiny, near new looking, with no visible signs of wear, but a few inaudible scuffs and scratches.

E-: Still shiny but without the lustre of a new record, few light scratches. May have a minimal degree of groove wear.

V+: An average condition 78 in which scuffs and general use has dulled the finish somewhat. Wear is moderate but playing is generally free from distortion. Surface noise not overly pronounced. Noticeable graying in the grooves.

V: Moderate, even wear throughout, but still very playable. Surface noise and scratches audible but not intrusive.

V-: Quite playable still, but distortion and heavy greying in loud passages. Music remains loud in most passages. Surface noise and scratches well below music level.

G+: Grey throughout but still serviceable. Music begins to sound muffled. Heavy scratches.

G: Quite seriously worn and scratched, but music level is still higher than surface noise.

G- : Music still prominent, but wear and scatch damage extensive.

F: Most of music remains audible over surface noise, but listening now uncomfortable.

P: Unplayable.

Records will be packed in oversized sturdy cardboard boxes. Combined shipping is possible.  Please DO NOT pay Ebay's automatically generated invoice, since it doesn't always calculate combined shipping correctly. Instead use the "request total from seller" function, and I'll send you an invoice with correct S&H costs. The actual shipping costs may differ from what Ebay's shipping calculator says. The following table will give you an indication of the shipping costs. This is only an estimate, of course, since some records are heavier than others.
