The Beatles- The Beatles. (The White Album). 1978 Issue USA Purple Capitol Label Double Vinyl LP with Gatefold Sleeve with large double sided Lyric Poster and 4 photos. (SWB0101)
( Manufactured by Capitol) perimeter text.
From the collection of Billy Duffy. This was purchased at last year's Omega charity auction where Billy was auctioning off his music and memorabilia collection. This was part of a couple of mixed vinyl lots that I purchased on that day. I am keeping most of it, but selling off some items that I either have duplicates of or don't particularly want. Will include a photo copy of the signed Certificate of authenticity from the auction house to the winning bidder/buyer. see last 2 pics.
Play Tested/ Strictly Graded:
Vinyl- Ex to Ex+. Plays through really nicely, with just a couple of instances of light split second static crackle. Visually looks clean and shiny with only a few light hairlines visible under strong light. I would say audio wise disc one grades Ex+ and Disc 2 as Ex.
Sleeve- VG Light ringwear front and back with a few marks, nothing too severe, light corner wear See pics. A solid VG.
Poster and Photos in Excellent , maybe Ex+ condition with not many signs of any storage wear.
This will come with a new pvc protective outer sleeve ( single)and new White inners as well as the original inners.
will combine postage on any of my other items. add items to your basket and then request an amended invoice. or pay separately and i will refund the excess amount.
I use the Record Collector Grading System sometimes with a + or - to indicate that it's slightly better or slightly worse than than Ex or VG etc.
MINT; The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT; The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD; The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD; The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR; The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. I will not sell any vinyl below this grade.
