The Jimi Hendrix Experience Electric Ladyland 1973 issue Polydor Deluxe Double 2657 012 first issue on Polydor in the UK
The 1973 re-release of the controversial (and now legendary) nude cover for Hendrix's masterpiece. Hendrix did not like either the art for the American or UK issue of the LP. He wanted photos of the band taken by Linda Eastman (McCartney) taken in NY's Central Park at the Alice In Wonderland sculpture (which was finally used for the 50th Anniversary box set of the LP) Many stores refused to sell it an labeling it pornographic, while others wrapped it in brown paper. Although initially displeased Hendrix admitted in later years that he 'kind of dug it' By 1973 it was already iconic and the re-release copied the originalissue    Records: VG++, minimal wear Jacket : Strong VG, light shopwear, some creasing and laminate tear at the spine
