BEATLES UK, Beatles for Sale, original UK 1964 mono LP.

PMC 1240, original first issue UK 1964 mono yellow and black Parlophone record labels.

A UK copy in original condition, featuring:

1. a first issue UK 1964 mono sleeve, with two visible ‘flip backs’ ie, ‘fold over’ edges seen when the sleeve is opened,

2. comes with its original, ‘Use Emitex’, inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent+ condition, the front and rear of the sleeve is laminated. The laminate is in excellent++ condition and has hardly any ‘scuffing’ or ‘indentations’. The spine, would have been graded as in excellent+ condition, but there is a small split, 10mm to the centre. The spine features ‘pinched’ ends and has remained very clean, white and straight and most of the text on the spine is readable. When the ‘gate fold’ sleeve is opened the two original ‘flip backs’, top and bottom, ie ‘fold over’ edges can be seen. Theres NO pen writing, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent+ condition and is the original, ‘Use Emitex’ inner sleeve. A very clean and well preserved inner sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve.

THE RECORD: each side of the record is in near excellent condition. The record has remained very dark and glossy. The record is made from the original quality 1960s, thick and heavy vinyl.

The matrix are: XEX 503 – 4N and XEX 504 - 4N,

The mother / stampers are: ‘38 ALM’ and ‘28 ALH’.

THE AUDIO: side one plays excellent++, it plays with excellent quiet grooves. Side two plays excellent+, I did hear some ‘ticks’ on track two that only lasted for a short time, otherwise side two plays with excellent quiet grooves. The record lays flat on the turntable and plays with a full, loud period mono sound.

THE LABELS: side one is in near excellent condition. Side two is in very good++ condition, side two has the letters ‘KT’ embossed around the spindle hole. Each label is free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.

BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVE, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
