For sale is OSCAR PETERSON "Plays Duke Ellington," MG C-606, MONO, DG, 1953. With Ray Brown and Barney Kessel.
SOUND: VG or better It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. The sound overall is very nice, but there are a few instances of tics, crackles or hiss. Not too bad, never particularly distracting. Sounds like a solid "VG" record, at times much better. Fully enjoyable!
VINYL: VG There are a couple very noticeable, long scuffs on side B, but these are superficial and do not affect playback. There is is short mark in B1 that is (barely) feel-able, and does make some soft tics. Side A appears in very nice condition, with no flaws worth mentioning. The deep-grooved Clef "trumpeter" labels are semi-glossy and in lovely condition.
JACKET: VG+/NM The heavy-cardboard jacket is brilliant. Solid all-around, with a touch of wear on the corners. Front and back are very clean and unmarked, with minimal wear.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
A very decent copy! Buy-it-now for $15
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material.  Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
