Please observe my NEWLY REVISED grading scale which is a step above Goldmine’s Scale for accuracy. I AM TRULY ONE OF EBAY'S MOST CONSERVATIVE GRADER.
All of these Albums & 12” that are up for auction are ALL VISUALLY but CAREFULLY graded.
VINYL GRADING
M (Mint): Factory sealed items ONLY.
M - (Mint Minus): A near perfect, probably UN-PLAYED record. This is my highest grade next to the sealed items.
VG+ (Very Good Plus): Almost like new, with minor inaudible marks that does not affect play at all. A well cared for record that most collectors will be very please with.
VG (Very Good): A very reasonably USED copy that will show signs of wear and possibly some hairline marks/surface noise. This will still be a very decent copy.
VG – (Very Good Minus): This record will show SIGNIFICANT WEAR, HEAVIER un-sleeved and hairline marks. Surface noise can be much heavier.
G+ (Good Plus): Vinyl quality goes down significantly from here.
Any other condition not mentioned in general grading will definitely be mentioned in the listing process. For example; WARPS, SKIPS or JUMPS.
SLEEVE GRADING
MINT – Sealed, Un-played, Possibly in shrink wrap, No markings, Perfect corners and edges, just like from the factory.
VG + + (Very Good Plus Plus): Sleeve is in EXCELLENT CONDITION with partial or no shrink wrap…very minor to no marks.
VG + (Very Good Plus): This sleeve shows normal wear with the possibility of light marks or writing. Light discoloration or foxing. Over all still a nice copy.
VG (Very Good): This sleeve shows heavier than normal wear with the possibility of seams or spine splits, cut corners, markings, water stains, pealing or heavier discoloration.
VG - (Very Good Minus): This sleeve condition goes down significantly from here. Multiple spine or seams splits (Possibly held together with some kind of tape), tear, large markings or writings or heavy water stains. Condition from this point down is poor.
CT = Cut corners or edges.
