UP FOR SALE IS a rare vintage 1950's pre-owned album of Prokofieff's 'Peter and the Wolf' performed by the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Serge Koussevitzky as Conductor. It is very unusual to find this particular version of PATW in this condition. The jacket has shelf wear on the edges, creasing by the corners and some ring wear on the back, but the front artwork is in really great shape. Nice and clean and clear, no marks. The record has some scuffs and minor scratches, but does not affect play. Label is clean, no marks. Inner sleeve was missing, but I have included a nice new one. Amazing to find one with no skips and a good jacket.
This is a wonderful orchestral fairy tale narrated by actor Richard Hale. The music is spectacular and is wonderful for small children. Each animal in the story is represented by a different musical instrument.
I am not a professional vinyl seller, so my grading is going by the guide I found online, but I have given you the information to my best ability and included pictures for you to see the condition. I have personally played this album, but do not have an expensive stereo set up, so cannot attest for "noise", etc. I can tell you I have played it with no skips and it sounded nice to me!!
Thanks for looking!
We love to listen to records!! We aren't a big corporation, just a retired Navy couple that enjoys collecting fun and interesting music, then passing them along to other families. Unless noted, our records are clean, in good condition and come from a smoke-free, pet-free home. Prior to shipping, our records are cleaned, put in a brand new insert sleeve if needed, and the album is put into a protective sleeve.
