1928 release -- where to start on this PAUL WHITEMAN 12" long player -- first it has an incredible cast of musicians and vocalists with probably the most eminent in this context being PAUL ROBESON with his signature "OL' MAN RIVER" solo and the other luminaries of the day including Olive Kline, Lewis James, Elsie Baker, et al -- the orchestra includes Trumbauer, Charles Strickfaden and others -- on the flip side is a continuation of the theme including solo work by BIX BEIDERBECKE a sort of SHOW BOAT medley -- this is the ORIGINAL ISSUE Victor scroll release on VICTOR 35912 a 12", 78 rpm in EXCELLENT condition -- please see photos.
