BEATLES UK, With the Beatles, earliest dark/grainy mis pressed sleeve, 1/1 matrix, UK 1963 LP.

PMC 1206, original UK 1963 yellow and black Parlophone record labels.

A UK issue mono album in original condition, featuring:

1. a first issue mis pressed UK 1963 ‘dark and grainy’ sleeve. The earliest printed sleeves were printed very ‘dark’ and had a ‘grainy’ appearance. The printers soon changed the sleeve to show a muchlighter and clearer’ image, see the comparison photo,

2. the sleeve features the incorrect spelling of, ‘Gotta’ for the track, ‘You really got a hold on me’, but on the record label this track title is spelt, ‘got a’. The printers soon changed the sleeve to read, ‘Got a’,

3. on the rear of the sleeve, top right corner there is an original EMI, ‘test played’ yellow ‘E’ sticker,

4. first issue UK mono matrix of 1/1, these first issue matrix records are known for their excellent loud, powerful bassy audio,

5. the record label on side one features an ‘MT tax code’, proving this to be a very early issue, as this ‘tax code’ was changed from ‘MT’ to ‘KT’ in July 1963,

6. comes with its original, ‘Use Emitex’ inner sleeve.

CONDITION:
