A DROP-DEAD BEAUTIFUL record is this E+ copy of "SHIM-ME-SHA-WABBLE" and "MILENBERG JOYS" by McKINNEY'S COTTON PICKERS.

It's unrelentingly hot from start to finish, BOTH sides.  On short notice, Don Redman put this band of eager and accomplished young jazz warriors under his direction in 1928, and this was their first recording date.  Their exhilaration and skill is palpable throughout.

This original 1928 "Scroll" Victor 21611 is in gleaming E+ condition, indistinguishable from NEW.  Inside and out, a perfectly stunning disc.

It is about the NINETEENTH time I've offered this superb record! I am UTTERLY MYSTIFIED that nobody snapped it up long ago, for its bargain-basement price of $70.00.  It's gloriously mint - NOT common in this condition!  The performances are perfect in every way!  If it was a blues record - same year, label and condition - you'd be KILLIN' each other to get at it!  But seriously - - crickets??  Come on!  Put me outta my mystery!

These records come from my private collection, which I have been accumulating since 1967, and now am downsizing!  My highest priority in these eBay auctions is to give you the best possible idea of a record’s true condition and aesthetic value.  I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all.  If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will!  Shipping is done with expert care. Your record will brave Media Mail in a stout corregated box, between four sheets of cardboard and a couple of “packers.”  I hope you are amused by these descriptions, and by the quality of service being offered.
