 Garbage 20th Anniversary 2015 Deluxe Vinyl Box Signed Photo; Used RARE Only 1000.
Note: This is the rare 2015 20th anniversary reissue of Garbage’s self-titled, debut album. This was a limited edition pressing with only 1,000 copies made. This set comes in a deluxe box with magnetic closure lid and lenticular cover. Inside are 3x180 gram records; the main record is broken into two LPs with three songs on each side (they play at 45rpms) and the other LP is the “G-side” LP with bonus tracks including #1 Crush. There is also a digital download card featuring all 12 tracks + g sides. I never used that card, but since this is now almost 10 years old I’m not sure if it works anymore. Then there is a limited edition 12-page LP-size fan-generated zine (Queen Helen magazine). This also includes an autographed photo. That photo has warped over time and also has a bend in the corner. Only sets purchased through band's official web-store got this 10x10 photo. Finally, my original sales receipt is included.
All records I sell are from my personal collection and I am selling it because a divorce, the pandemic and some boredom related cleaning and organizing has pushed me to part ways with things. This is my all-time favorite album. I also have a brand new version of the original 1995 pressing if you’re a super fan like me and that interests you.
I am not a vinyl expert, but I do enjoy the experience of listening to my favorite albums on vinyl. All three of these LPs are in great condition (my opinion, not an official rating system). I played all of them again today to verify their condition. Sounded great on my system, but always beware that vinyl can have intermittent surface noise / popping depending on your setup. For me I heard two minor pops on Queer and also some kind of imperfection on one spot on #1 Crush. It’s weird as it’s not a scratch and not a pop so I wonder if it was an issue with the pressing itself. It’s more like a blip at the 1:18 mark during the part where Shirley is humming. I actually played the song three times to see if it was consistent and it was.
As you’ll seen in the pictures, which were taken by me today, there are a few issues to note. First, and most frustrating, is that many people who received this album, including me, had it arrive with tears in the jackets. Mine also has a dent in the top left corner. Also, my autographed picture has warped over time and has a bend in the corner. If you would like to see more angles, let me know and I can send. I’m a non-smoker with no children and kept this in my living room with my other vinyl. I am meticulous with my collection and handle my vinyl with care. Fingers have never touched the surface of any of my records.
Discogs lists the median sales price at $444.59 with the highest sale at $576.91. A used copy recently sold on eBay for $404 plus $37 shipping as it came from the UK to the US. I'm listing as Buy It Now for $350 in hopes that is fair all around.
As you probably know, buying vinyl is all about the packaging and this will come very well packaged. I just received the new Beautiful Garbage 20th anniversary set and am reusing that box as it is the same size and my new album came in perfect condition. To make sure there is no more tearing of the jackets, I have taken each LP out of the jacket and placed them in the standard white paper jackets for shipping. The fancy jackets are then stacked on top of the albums.
