June 10, 2016 – Denver, CO – The album Gregory Alan Isakov with the Colorado Symphony was released today. A collaboration with the Colorado Symphony, the eleven-track record features songs from Isakov’s previous albums, The Weatherman, This Empty Northern Hemisphere, and That Sea, the Gambler, as well as “Liars,” which was written by Ron Scott.

Recorded at Boettcher Concert Hall in Denver, as well as at Starling Farm in Boulder, Gregory Alan Isakov with the Colorado Symphony was co-produced by Isakov and his longtime collaborator, Jamie Mefford, and was arranged by Tom Hagerman (DeVotchKa) and Jay Clifford (Jump Little Children), and conducted by the Colorado Symphony’s Scott O’Neil.

“This has been a wonderful and seamless collaboration with Gregory and the Symphony,” says Anthony Pierce, Colorado Symphony Senior Vice President, Program Innovation. “After performing together multiple times, this album beautifully displays what the orchestra can contribute, as well as Gregory's unique style.”

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and now calling Colorado home, Isakov is a lifelong traveler. Since his debut, Isakov has toured alongside musicians such as Iron & Wine, Ani DiFranco, Passenger, Josh Ritter, Brandi Carlile, and Nathaniel Rateliff. With a degree in horticulture, Isakov balances the art of making and performing his music with running a small farm in Colorado.
