For sale is Norman Granz' "Jam Session #7," on Verve MGV-8062, MONO, DG, 1957. With Lionel Hampton, Johnny Hodges, Ben Webster, Flip Phillips, Roy Eldridge, Dizzy Gillespie, Buddy Rich, others.
SOUND: NM It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Only a few faint tics keep it from perfection. A wonderful playback, overall very clean, solid sound!
VINYL: VG+/NM The vinyl is in beautiful condition. There are a couple extremely faint scuffs, completely cosmetic. The black/silver "trumpeter" labels are in nice condition, with a couple faint spindle marks.
JACKET: VG/VG+ Split middle bottom, some routine fraying on spine and corners, front is clean and unmarked. The back has a "promo" stamp and a bit of black marker. Overall the front and back covers are nice, with only minor, routine shelf-wear.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
Plays great, nice vinyl! Buy-it-now for $20.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material.  Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
