A Word on Grading (Please Read)
These records are from my personal collection and have been played and stored as carefully as possible over the course of many years. Inserts stored with open side up to protect from dust, never stacked and handled always by the edges and stored out of the sun. They are, however, used records and so will have some issues, commonly some dust crackling, usually in the track separations or in quieter sections, although, nothing extensive or pervasive that makes them unplayable, I do not sell any junk. They may respond positively to a more rigorous cleaning as that has not been done.
I will utilize Goldmine grading standards but most of the records seem to grade at slightly above or slightly below VG+ and so I will be listing them primarily in VG+ with a few exceptions and rely on additional descriptions and pictures. Occasionally something might be in obvious VG or NM condition and will receive the appropriate annotation. I am, however, a little reluctant to use NM as all vinyl, no matter what the grade, seems to have some issues, even brand new can have some surface noise so I will probably use EX as the top grade. I am selling my collection slowly so I will be able to play test what is sold and anything that does not meet these minimum standards will not be offered for sale.
I will also provide label and runout ID information for those of you who may be more accomplished at deciphering this information than I am. Sometimes it will match existing data and provide clear identification of release. Other times no perfect match can be found and will be listed as unknown or I may speculate based on available criteria, however, that will be just a guess.
I will always try and be as detailed as possible in my descriptions so you will know what to expect including citing low level dust noise that might be considered normal for used vinyl in the interest of completeness. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me before purchasing and I will be glad to respond with any information that will help you with your decision.
I also am very obsessive about packaging and your order will be prepared very carefully, with plastic sleeves, and extra layers of protection. It will leave here in the condition stated in sturdy packaging that should ensure its safe arrival. Any damage would be the responsibility of the Post Office over which I, unfortunately, have no control.
If there is a problem, let me know. There is admittedly a large nostalgia factor associated with these records and I may feel less objective about them based on what they have meant to me over the years. If you feel that I looked at something through rose-tinted glasses and completely mis-represented it, contact me and perhaps something can be worked out at my discretion.
