BEATLES UK, Rubber Soul, unusual indented/ridged record labels, mono 1965 UK LP.

PMC 1267, original 1965 UK mis pressed black and yellow Parlophone record labels.

A UK LP in original condition, featuring:

1. to meet public demand for this album in late 1965 EMI re employed an old ‘rogue’ pressing machine for a short time, creating these very hard to find 'indented/ridged' record label records. Side one has a 'circular indentation' and side two has a ‘circular pronounced ridge’,

2. the record label on side two has an 'out of place tax code of MT', this code was discontinued back in July 1963, so this is more evidence of EMI re employing an old 'rouge' pressing machine,

3. on side one, the record label has the 'Roman font', but on side two, the record label has the, 'Sans Serif font',

4. on the rear of the sleeve, to the top, there is an original, 'retail shop stamp',

5. comes with its original, 'Use Emitex' inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is in very good+ condition and has remained clean, straight and all the text on the spine is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve features the period, 1960s, tri 'flip back’, ie fold over edges design. There are NO splits, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. On the rear of the sleeve, top left, there is a name written in black pen and on the front, top right there is a small round sticker.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition and is the original period, 'Use Emitex' inner sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, tears, stickers or sticker residue to the inner sleeve. There is a slight split to the bottom edge and a neat sellotape repair to one side edge.

THE RECORD: side one is in very good+ condition. Side two is in very good condition.

The records matrix is: XEX 579 - 4 and XEX 580 – 4,

The mother / stampers are: ‘7 GOH’ and ‘9 GHH’.

THE AUDIO: each side plays very good+, each side plays with some 'crackle and 'ticks' heard here and there. The record plays with a full, powerful period mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE RECORD LABELS: side one is in very good++ condition and side two is in very good+ condition. Unusually the letters ‘MT’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side two. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
