For sale is JOE PASS' "For Django," on Pacific Jazz PJ-85, Mono, 1964. White Label.
SOUND: VG+ It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Light surface noise is audible at times, although it is never too much, or too loud. A couple of ticks on side B, but overall a very good playback, worthy of the VG+ grade.
VINYL: VG I'm being conservative on the grade. There are hairline marks on either side, but nothing I can feel, and the playback is definitely better than VG. The white labels are probably "promos" although they do not say so. I can't find another example of the record with the white label.
JACKET: VG+ The edges and spine are solid all-around, with a little fraying near the corners. Front and back are reasonably clean, bright and unmarked. Just routine, light shelf wear or handling.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
A nice copy, plays very well! Buy-it-now for $25.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. When play-tested, I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material. Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
