JIMI HENDRIX - Band Of Gypsys
Rare 1970 first UK issue 6-track stereo vinyl LP
On the black & silver Track label
Housed in the withdrawn matt 'puppet' sleeve with pinched spine.
The earliest copies of Band of Gypsys depicted puppets of Hendrix, Brian Jones, Bob Dylan & English DJ John Peel, found here.
Reportedly Peel complained & the cover was withdrawn & replaced with a live photo of Hendrix!
The cover has just a some general wear (please see photo's) with very little fading, & some light edge scuffing, this in no way upsetting this rare design.
The labels have no tears or writing & minimal signs of play around the spindle hole.
The vinyl remains very clean both sides & whilst there are some light scratches visible when you hold the vinyl up to the light this doesn't detract from the listening experience, true vintage Hendrix
Thanks to the quality of British vinyl from this period, Hendrix rings out loud & clear!
