BEATLES UK, Abbey Road, mis press record label, early issue UK 1969 LP ex++.

PCS 7088, early issue UK 1969 mis press ‘dark green’, Apple record label.

An early UK 1969 album in original condition, featuring:

1. a 'mis pressed' record label on side one, as there is a vertical line that runs across the record label as a result of an error in the printing process at the EMI factory. This printing error should have been spotted by EMIs 'quality control department', but it was missed and the record made it out into the shops,

2. more unusual record labels as each of the record labels features larger '33 1/3' text and this text has been printed 'off set' from the left margin,

3. original first issue UK 1969 record matrix of, YEX 749 - 2 and YEX 750 - 1,

4. early UK 1969 ‘dark green’ Apple colour record label on side one,

5. the track, ‘Her Majesty’ plays on the record and is printed on the record label, but this track title is not printed on the rear of the sleeve,

6. comes with its original period plain white 'EMI' 'Patent No. 1,125,555' text inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent++ condition, the sleeve is in near perfect condition. The sleeve is laminated front and rear. This laminate is in near perfect condition and the quality laminate has retained its original super glossy finish and has remained free from any 'thumb creases' and any 'indentations'. The two opening edges of the sleeve have remained clean and sharp. The four corners of the sleeve have remained clean and sharp. The original period ‘thin’ spine is in excellent++ condition and has remained clean white and straight and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. There are NO splits, tears or pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent++ condition and is the original period EMI plain white, ‘Patent No. 1,125,555’ inner sleeve. The two opening edges have remained clean white and unworn. An excellent original, clean white well preserved inner sleeve. The inner sleeve is made of the period, quality heavy grade paper and has a ‘textured’ surface on the inside. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue to the inner sleeve.

THE RECORD: each side of the record is in excellent++ condition. On each side of the record it is difficult to see any 'marks' at all to the playing surfaces. Note - the condition of the playing surfaces have been graded under 'normal daylight conditions'. The record is made from the quality period, 1960s thick, heavy vinyl.

The records matrix is: YEX 749 - 2 and YEX 750 - 1,

The 'mother / stampers' are: ‘4 PGG’ and ‘4 ODL’.

THE AUDIO: each side of the record plays excellent+, each side plays with some light 'crackle'. Each side of the record plays with a full powerful period, 'stereo' sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE RECORD LABELS: each of the record labels are in excellent++ condition. Each of the record labels show some 'light' signs of 'ageing'. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
