For Sale
An ED-1 pressing from Mercury Living Presence Stereo, featuring the Symphonic Sketches of George Whitefield Chadwick and played by the Eastman-Rochester Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Howard Hanson (who was born in Wahoo, Nebraska in 1896).
The names of the four sketches are in my photos. Visual grade: NM-/NM. Play Grade: mostly NM/NM. A small pressing defect ticks quietly about 4-5 times on s. 1. Not intrusively.
Shipping by Media Mail in the US or First Class International for overseas and Canada.
A Personal Note from CCVINYLMAN
CCVINYLMAN is back to listing mostly music and music-related merchandise. That includes vinyl record albums, CDs, and occasionally hi-fi components.
If you have not been following my listings lately, I do not blame you! I made a business decision a couple years back to sell more general merchandise and less music. In retrospect, that was not wise. What I plan to do in making my music easier for you to find and scroll through is to keep my current User ID (ccvinylman) and sell other general merchandise under a different User ID, yet to be invented. Until then, I'll be listing more “vinyl” than general merchandise.
So if your primary interest is music and music reproduction, come on back and put me on your favorites list. I've got some really cool albums in stock and will list them as I'm able. Remember, I am one of the few record sellers on eBay (and anywhere, for that matter!) who cleans and play grades each recoArd I sell (except for still sealed records).
Although I am not anal retentive regarding record-jacket condition, I DO take it into consideration and will draw your attention to glaring defects. If YOU ARE anal retentive about jacket condition, please look elsewhere for classic vinyl. My priority is the condition and sound of the record, not its packaging. Some of the albums I sell are over 50 (sometimes 60) years old! Enough said?
Again, WELCOME BACK!
New Policy Changes, Effective July 15, 2015
Only my pricing policy has changed, primarily because of the labor intensive nature of selling records the Craig Chase Vinyl way. My way makes me unique among the other fine record sellers on eBay today. This policy change is the first significant one I’ve made since I first began selling records on eBay over 15 years ago. Some reasons for the change are:
I clean every record I sell. I use proprietary methods which are safe and effective and leave your records as clean as possible. I even clean and repair outer sleeves (and sometimes inner sleeves as well!) should they have some reparable damage (e.g., an open seam, surface grime, and the like).
I inspect and play-grade every record I sell, except for still-sealed records. (See my grading scale, below).
I craft my own heavy-duty mailers, not only to save you money, but to protect your investment as it wings its way to you.
I ship your purchases usually within 24 hours of receiving your payment.
I offer a no-quibble money-back guarantee should you feel I have exaggerated your record’s condition. Just send it back to me in the shape in which you found it, and I’ll refund your purchase price, including your initial shipping cost. If you prefer to keep the record, I will issue you a partial refund (or credit for a future purchase).
Shipping
Shipping cost is based on your package's weight. The first single record (plus container) weighs 1 pound, 2 ounces. Each additional record weighs 10 ounces. Obviously, box-sets weigh more.
Normal domestic shipping is by Media Mail.
Normal International shipping is by First-Class Mail International.
Record Play-Grades
SS = Still sealed; unopened and un-played; condition unknown.
NM+ = Near Mint Plus. Extraordinarily clean, quiet, and virtually unmarked, except perhaps for a very light spindle track on the label; may not have been played.
NM = Near Mint. Clean and quiet, regardless of scuffs, hairline scratches or apparent defects.
NM- = Near Mint Minus. Less quiet than NM, with a bit more background noise , regardless of its source.
VG++ = Very good plus plus. Noisier than NM-; may say why.
VG+ = Very good plus. Noisier than VG++; will say why.
Sleeve Grades
Exc = Excellent. Virtually perfect; may be shrink-wrapped or not; looks almost new.
Exc- = Excellent minus. No major defects; clean, sound, and mark-free; perhaps a slightly bent corner or two.
VG + = Very Good Plus. May have a couple small defects, such as a little writing or a little staining or yellowing, but it's quite presentable.
VG = Very Good. Defects are more noticeable; may have needed seam repair with hot glue.
G = Good. Sleeve has some obvious challenges but is still somewhat presentable.
F = Fair. Need I say more?
