THE ROLLING STONES, Let it Bleed, earliest Senol sleeve 1st issue UK 1969 Decca LP.

SLK 5025, original UK 1969 blue / silver 'un boxed' stereo Decca record labels.

A UK first issue 1969 album in original condition, featuring:

1. rare, earliest known sleeve printed by 'Senol Printing Limited'. These rare 'Senol' sleeves are thought to be the very first sleeves to be printed,

2. earliest 'full colour poster' sticker on the front of the sleeve,

3. earliest 'un boxed' Decca record labels. By 1969 'Decca' began to 'phase out' their 'unboxed' Decca record labels and replace them with the 'boxed' Decca record labels. These copys of 'Let it Bleed' with 'unboxed' record labels are harder to find. The record labels feature:

a. original first issue printed 'inverted' record matrix,

b. the text, '33 1/3' is missing off the record labels,

4. earliest known ‘mother’ of '1', engraved onto the 'run off' groove on the record on side two,

5. comes with its original period, 'custom', ‘Decca’ inner sleeve, featuring:

a. original 1969 first issue 'uncensored' text of, 'With the London Bach choir',

b. incorrect spelling of 'Richards', (Richard),

c. incorrect spelling of 'Madelaine', (Madeline),

6. comes with its original earliest 'colour poster', made of the period quality, heavy grade of paper.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The quality laminate has retained an excellent glossy finish. The spine is in excellent condition it has remained clean, white and straight and most of the text on the spine is readable. The two opening edges have remained clean and sharp. A good clean solid example of such a rare sleeve. There are NO splits, pen writing, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is what appears to be a slight old 'tea' stain on the rear, left, centre, upper part.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition and is the original UK period, custom stereo 'uncensored', ‘Decca’ inner sleeve. The inner sleeve has retained its two excellent clean opening edges. A very clean fresh, white original well preserved inner sleeve. There are NO splits, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve. There is a 10mm tear to the bottom edge.

THE POSTER: the original 'poster' is in very good++ condition. The poster is made of the period quality, thick, heavy paper, its almost like a thin card. There are NO tears, pen writing, pin holes, blu tack, stickers or sticker residue on the poster. There are some slight / light signs of 'ageing' to the front and rear of the poster.

THE RECORD: side one is in excellent condition. Side two is in 'good++' to 'near very good' condition. The record has remained very dark and glossy.

The records 'engraved' matrix is: XZAL 9363 P 4W and XZAL 9364 P 4W,

The records 'engraved', 'mother / stampers' are: side one, 2B MM, I think it is, and side two, 1 IM’,

The letters ‘JT’ are 'engraved' each side onto the ‘run off’ groove.

THE AUDIO: side one plays excellent. Side two, I did hear some light 'ticks' on track two, so I will grade track two as playing very good++, the rest of side two plays excellent. The record plays with a full, loud period 'stereo' sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE RECORD LABELS: each of the record labels are in excellent++ condition. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
