The Family PRINCE Paisley Park LP Nothing Compares 2U Rare GERMAN Vinyl EX++

This is, basically, a Prince album. I listened to it first, was taken aback and then looked it up on Wikipedia. Prince appears to have written most of the tracks and, as he was wont to do, played most of the instruments on the backing tracks. Then it appears that he found a white boy, (St. Paul Peterson), that could provide a reasonable facsimile of his voice. 

This is the first appearance of “Nothing Compares 2U”, (later a hit for Sinead O’Connor). Of note is the first ever string arrangements by Clare Fischer, who would continue working with Prince on his own, branded, records.

Recorded at Paisley Park Studios, the rest of the “Family” is filled out with Price acolytes, including Wendy Melvoin’s sister.

This is a RARE German pressing of this LP. It has been play graded as Ex++, if not better. Minimal surface noise. Visually, the vinyl is in excellent condition, exhibiting light surface scuffs and a smudge on side 2, around 5 o’clock. None of these seem to affect play.

The inlay is in VG condition, but exhibits some creasing. It, in typical European fashion, is lined with plastic.

The gatefold cover has a few flaws. Whiting around the edges; some dry sticker residue on the upper right of the front and under the second picture on the right had side of the inner gatefold; and a spot that shows white where it appears a price sticker was removed on the front,  upper right corner.

I've tried to document as much as possible in the attached scans/photos. I have taken more specific photos of the aforementioned flaws, so if you need to see them, please feel free to contact me.

Condition on all of the items is "Used".
