KRAFTWERK The Man Machine LP Vinyl 1978 Capitol ELECTRONICA Kraut Rock PROG VG

This is an original 1978 US vinyl pressing of this sought-after progressive rock classic by Kraftwerk and is coveted by Kraut Rock and Prog Rock completists. 

I am not a professional grader, but I do my best and try to be conservative in my grading. I play grade most LPs I sell, when possible.

The cover is in very good condition, given it's age. The inner sleeve has a split at the very bottom and a seam split from the top left corner, extending about 2 inches.

There is some whiting and shelf wear on the corners and edges. The spine is in excellent shape. Please see the attached photos, as I have attempted to document these issues.

The record is play graded at VG. Visually this disk has very light-visible wear, scuffs and scratching. There may be minor blotches. The label on the disk  has some spindle marks.

Side 1 plays with some surface noise evident, especially in the quiet soft passages and during the intro and fade, but the surface noise does not overpower the sound. There is what might be a skip very near the beginning. My turntable is very sensitive. I did not visually see anything that might cause it to skip. This is why I have graded it a VG and not VG+. The middle of the side plays great with minimal surface noise. 

Side 2  plays great, overall, with some surface noise evident, especially in the quiet soft passages and during the intro and fade, but the surface noise does not overpower the sound.
It would benefit from a good, pro cleaning.

Vinyl grading is usually based on the Goldmine standard and is as follows:

“SS” Still Sealed – For the collector that demands nothing but perfection.

“M” Mint - a near perfect, or unplayed record.

“NM” Near Mint - in factory fresh condition, like new.

EX+ - close to like new with only superficial signs of use that don't affect play. Will satisfy all but the most vain and demanding collector.

EX - a used, reasonable copy. Shows slight signs of wear.

VG+ - There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility a few scuffs and/or light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice.

VG - significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise,still plays great.

Good - In the record world, "Good" is not good! From here on down, we're talking about beat-up records!
