After playing with the Keystones, Craft joined the Oak Ridge Boys band where he remained until 1981. During this period, the Oaks made a transition from Southern Gospel to mainstream Country music. After leaving the Oaks, Craft formed a group called Cedar Creek. In 1999, Craft stopped touring in order to focus on writing Gospel songs. In 2000, one of Craft's songs titled "Then You'll See" was recorded by the Oak Ridge Boys on their From The Heart CD.
