For sale is COUNT BASIE "Dance Session," Clef MG C-626, Mono, DG, 1954.
SOUND: VG or better It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Sounds very nice! There are a few areas with light crackling. Nothing too much. Overall, plays very nicely.
VINYL: VG There are hairline marks and handling on either side. Nothing too bad or feel-able. The "trumpeter" labels are glossy and clean. These old Clef labels don't show spindle-marks.
JACKET: VG+ Completely solid all-around with routine wear. Front cover has two areas with tape-residue. Otherwise, both front and back are clean and unmarked with routine shelf wear.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
Plays very nicely! A good deal for $15.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. When play-tested, I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material. Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
