Thanks for looking at my listing, for a very rare promo copy of Bruce's debut album "Greetings From Asbury Park". This copy is the first US pressing, and is really rare because it has the promo timing strip which was used by programmers at radio stations. I have collected promo copies of albums for over 20 years, and this is only the third copy I have ever seen. Far more common is the gold stamp promo, which was issued later after Born to Run blew up.
The jacket is in beautiful condition, with the postcard still firmly attached and not bent or torn. The jacket has great corners and only light wear on the spines and light ringwear front and back (see photos). The original Columbia inner sleeve is also included.
The disc is in near mint condition in my honest opinion, with only one small circular mark that was inaudible to my ears. Both sides of the LP play beautifully with minimal surface noise. The album was part of a large collection of promos that mostly all looked unplayed. I did a wet vacuum on a VPI and played it to be certain the mark didn't affect play. Whoever gets this should be very happy because it's a quiet LP at times and plays clean and quietly. This is the copy you want.
Free shipping using an oversized mailer and pads to prevent corner damage by renegade mail handlers. I pack the inner sleeve and disc outside the jacket to prevent seam splitting. Please contact me with any questions.
